What You Can Do . . .

* If you are a maternal relative of a POW or MIA, please go to our MtDNA info page.*

1.  Visit our site.   We are constantly updating our site and trying to make it as educational as possible.   We are accomplishing this goal by adding new resourceful links regularly, attending POW-MIA events, such as repatriations and other ceremonies, writing articles and sharing the photos on our website.  We hope that all of our efforts help the people that visit our website to better understand the POW-MIA issue.

2.  Visit frequently or join our Yahoo! Club Friends of POW-MIA.  We regularly post current news and events related to POWs and MIAs.  Read the posted topics or start a discussion of your own on POWs and MIAs with current Friends of POW-MIA members.

3.  Read a Book or watch a video on the subject matter.  There are many informative books and videos on the POW-MIA subject to watch and learn from.  Feel free to go to our Bookstore to get some ideas.

4.  Visit the many POW-MIA personal web pages on the internet.  Every week our site posts a new "POW-MIA Website of the Week."  Visit these and many others you may find through the internet search engines.  Just by visiting these many POW-MIA honor pages, you will be learning a great deal of information and of the various views of this topic.

5.  Adopt a POW/MIA through Operation Just CauseAdopting a POW/MIA with Operation Just Cause will give you a POW/MIA's name, a short biography of him and of what was last known of the whereabouts of the person.  Sometimes you may also get a photo of the person.  Most people honor their adopted POW/MIA's on their personal web pages.

6.     Make your own free website to honor our POWs and MIAs.  Making your own website allows you to make this issue personal to yourself.  You can include what is most important to you in this issue, favorite links, and your adopted POW/MIAs.  You can get your free website at various places.  Some common ones include:  GeoCities through www.yahoo.com, www.angelfire.com, www.homestead.com, and www.tripod.com.  Once you have your website up, add your web address to the end of e-mails, invitations, greeting cards, flyers, etc and share it with family, friends, and your co-workers.

7.  Fly a POW/MIA Flag and wear a POW/MIA Bracelet.

8.  Place a POW-MIA license plate frame proudly on your automobiles.

9.  Go to POW/MIA ceremonies held in your area, or create one.  Take your family to these events.  They are a great learning experience for young kids and educational to everyone.
